GENERAL AREAS OF INTEREST: Real Analysis, Differential Equations, and the Dynamics of Cooperative Learning and Problem Solving. From Fall 1990 through Spring 2005 I was the Director for the Emerging Scholars Program , a highly successful, cooperative learning calculus laboratory for first-year engineering calculus students. A detailed, comprehensive ESP Report summarizes the specific successes.

I was a member of the coaching staff for the UC Davis Men's Basketball Team from Fall 1995 to Spring 2013. In March 1998 UC Davis Men's Basketball won the NCAA Division II National Championship with a hard-fought win over highly favored Kentucky Wesleyan. Here is a brief basketball bio .
