There will be three types of homework assigned for this class:

Webwork

The first assignment is due Friday October 4 before 3:00pm

Assignments will be posted weekly on WeBWorK, online at http://webwork.math.ucdavis.edu.
Your webwork grades will contribute towards the homework section of your grade.
Your lowest two webwork grades will be dropped.
No late assignments will be accepted.

Textbook Problems

Assignments will be posted to accompany each lecture. Students should work out the corresponding problems after each lecture. Solving these problems regularly is crucial for learning. These assignments will not be collected, however, you will be responsible for knowing how to solve these problems on exams.

Try to solve each problem on your own first. After trying 3 different things, ask a friend or a TA for help. When you complete the problems, check your answer with the solutions.
