   For a Mac operating system, you can obtain a free package of TeXShop here.
   For those who have a Windows operating system, see MiKTeX.
   An excellent LaTeX manual is Guide to LaTeX by H. Kopka and P. Daly, 4th ed. A short math guide for LaTeX is also useful.
   Here is an example of a simple LaTeX source file and the compiled pdf file.
   Here is a sample file to start your notebook.
    Chapter 1: Exercises 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 and Problem 1. To be discussed at the Oct 9 evening problem session. Notebooks on these problems are to be sent to TA on Friday, October 14. (Send pdf file.)
    Chapter 2: Exercises 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11. To be discussed at the Oct 16 problem session. Notebooks on these problems are to be sent to TA on Friday, October 21.
    Chapter 2: Exercises 12, 13, 14, 17, 20. To be discussed at the Oct 23 problem session. Notebooks on these problems to be sent to TA on Friday, October 27.
