Reading assignments are from Grimmett and Stirzaker, Probability and Random Processes.

1. March 31-April 4: Section 5.11, large deviations. Section 6.1, Markov processes. For those who were not in Math 135A, Winter 2008, and generating functions are a distant past, you might want to start reading from the beginning of Chapter 5.

2. April 7-April 11: Sections 6.1, 6.2, 6.3.

3. April 14 - April 18: Sections 6.4, 6.5.

4. April 21 - April 25: Sections 6.5, 6.6, 6.7

5. April 28 - May 2: Sections 6.8, 6.9

6. May 5 - May 9: Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.7

7. May 12 - May 16: Sections 7.8, 7.9

8. May 19 - May 21: Sections 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4

9. May 26- May 30: Sections 9.4, 9.5

10. June 2 - June 4: Section 9.6
