I will follow this wonderful paper of C. R. MacCluer:
C. R. MacCluer. "The many proofs and applications of Perron's theorem." SIAM Review. Vol. 42, No.3, pp. 487-498.
This paper chronicles the wide dispersal of Perron's 1907 result on positive matrices into many fields of science as mentioned by MacCluer in his abstract. We will explore some applications of Perron's Theorem, and if time permits give one or two proofs of the Theorem.
