Description
Starting from a first-priciple QED Hamiltonian, in Coulomb gauge,
neglecting photons, we show that, in a mean-field approximation, this
Hamiltonian has a minimizer although it is a priori ill defined. We make
sense out of it by means of an infinite volume limit.
