A Schur function is an irreducible character of the general linear group and, in some sense, a generating function of the irreducible characters of the symmetric group. A Q-function, also due to I. Schur, is a "spin" counterpart of a Schur function. My problem is to characterize the coefficients when one expands "2-reduced" Schur functions by Q-functions. I have not yet reached a complete answer. Instead I will show some experiments and observations.
