Torsion in knot concordance
Geometry/TopologySpeaker: | Swatee Naik, University of Nevada - Reno |

The concordance group of classical knots has been studied extensively for last forty years. However, very little is known about the finite order elements in this group except for order 2 classes represented by negative amphicheiral knots. In this talk I will describe some of my joint work with Livingston (2000-02) which relates to torsion in this group and discuss possible future directions.
