A Path Model for Crystal Bases

Description
Crystal bases and crystal graphs are combinatorial tools developed to
study the representation theory of Kac-Moody algebras and their quantum
enveloping algebras. I'll give a brief description of the connection
between crystals and representation theory, describe a path model of
crystals, and conclude with an application of the path model that
everyone can enjoy (i.e., no representation theory knowledge necessary.)
