Sutured manifolds and fibered links

In the paper "Detecting fibered links in S^3" D.Gabai gave a useful method to detect fibered links , the tool he uses is sutured manifolds. In this talk I will introduce the concept of sutured manifolds, give examples, explain how a link is related to a sutured manifold and finally I will give a proof of Gabai's theorem.
