Identification of modules in biological networks
Mathematical BiologySpeaker: | Tom Michoel, VIB, Ghent University |
Location: | 2112 MSB |
Start time: | Thu, Oct 23 2008, 12:00PM |
Modules are sets of molecules functioning more or less as independent units and carrying out specific biological functions. I will present methods for identifying and understanding the structure and behavior of modules in various types of biological networks with applications in the model species E. coli, S. cerevisiae and A. thaliana.
