Description
We present Groebner bases as foundational tools for solving
systems of polynomial equations. We then present the relationship between
Groebner bases and the combinatorics of triangulations of polytopes. This
talk will be an outline of the book "Groebner Bases on Convex Polytopes"
by Bernd Sturmfels.
