Bubbles and Fractal Flows
Mathematical Physics SeminarSpeaker: | Douglas Stanford, Stanford |
Location: | 2112 MSB |
Start time: | Tue, May 1 2012, 4:10PM |
I will discuss recent work with Harlow, Shenker and Susskind on the effects of nonperturbative physics in eternal inflation. In particular, I will use the tree model of eternal inflation to present "fractal flows": simple mathematical structures that break conformal invariance and generate an arrow of time.
