Wiener's Lemma and Eigenvector Localization
Student-Run Research SeminarSpeaker: | Tim Wertz, UC Davis Math |
Location: | 2112 MSB |
Start time: | Wed, May 30 2012, 12:10PM |
I'll explain how a classical result from Fourier analysis (Wiener's Lemma) can be viewed as a statement about Banach algebras and thus be used to say something about the eigenvectors of various operators. As an example, I'll discuss the Anderson model and the localization of its eigenvectors.
