Classical and quantum walks: similarities and differences

I will describe joint work with several collaborators based mainly on "spectral methods" to analyze quantum walks, their limit laws, recurrence properties, etc. I will draw comparisons with the classical world and illustrate some general results with a few well known two dimensional quantum walks.
