Kinetic formulation and regularizing effects in first-order PDEs

In this talk, I will briefly introduce kinetic formulation of nonlinear PDEs. This formulation, combined with the velocity averaging lemmas, turns out to be a useful tool for studying regularizing effects when certain non-degeneracy conditions on the fluxes are satisfied. As a prototype example, I will focus on first-order PDEs.
