During this talk we will discuss some generalisations of the classic ham sandwich theorem and their combinatorial applications. The aim is to find families of partitions of R^d which allow us to distribute evenly a large set of measures among k people. We will show how each type of partition is linked to a different topological results, and how the appropriate choice for configuration spaces can lower the need for topological machinery.
