Sage is a free open-source mathematics software system. Its surface language is the popular programming language Python, altered only in a minimal way by the Sage pre-parser to provide some syntactic sugar for mathematical notation. Sage provides a unified interface to a large number of open-source and commercial software packages, making it suitable as an education and research platform. Sage can be run on a local installation, or online via SageMathCloud. Numerous Sage tutorials, documentations and references are available online.
The goal of this Sage Day is to bring together faculty, researchers and graduate students interested in Sage development or in using Sage in research. Any nonnegative level of Sage experience is welcome.
