The wall-crossing formula in generalized Donaldson-Thomas theory suggests a natural class of Riemann-Hilbert problems. They involve piecewise holomorphic functions from the complex plane into an algebraic torus with prescribed discontinuities along a collection of rays. I will start with the simplest example, which gives a fun undergraduate-style exercise in complex analysis. I will then explain the general context and sketch some more interesting examples.
