Ideal Triangulations of Closed 3-manifolds

We are interested in ideal triangulations of closed hyperbolic 3-manifolds. SnapPy's computations provide several examples of non-geometric ideal triangulations of closed manifolds. The smallest of them is known as Vol3. We want to show that Vol3 does not have any geometric ideal triangulation of small complexity. (work in progress with Matthias Goerner, Feng Luo)
