A couple of weeks ago, Marco Golla gave a “gentle introduction” to Heegaard Floer homology. The aim of this talk will be to provide a complementary, continuing introduction, aimed at practical calculations. In particular, I will focus on explicit calculations of Heegaard Floer and knot Floer homology groups.
