I will explain some important features of hyperkähler manifolds such as Beauville-Bogomolov-Fujiki form, so(4,b_2-2)-action on cohomology, symmetries of Hodge diamond. We will see why these manifolds are called high-dimensional analogs of K3 surfaces.
