There is an elegant relation (Fabricius-Bjerre) among the double points, double tangent lines, and inflection points of an immersed curve in the plane. I will describe a generalization of the relation to curves in the projective plane, where the result has a natural dual formulation. This leads to a new result for immersed curves with cusps in the plane, relating double tangent lines, crossings, cusps and normal-tangent lines.
There will not be a topology seminar next week.
