Arithmetic topological quantum field theory: some examples and speculations
Mathematical Physics SeminarSpeaker: | Minhyong Kim, Warwick |
Location: | Zoom |
Start time: | Fri, May 22 2020, 11:00AM |
Building on a rather old analogy between knots and primes, it is possible to propose a 'dual' interpretation by way of an arithmetic topological quantum field theory whose fields are sheaves on arithmetic schemes. This talk will describe the basic notions, present some sample computations, and indulge in some speculations.
