In this seminar we will introduce the famous Kontsevich's formality theorem and its relation with deformation quantization. One of the main issues of this theorem is the passage from local to global statement. We will focus on this particular aspect of formality and describe the twisting procedure, which allows us to obtain the global version of formality.
