This term we focus on "Inspiration from Physics to Mathematics." The speaker's abstract:
Crystal bases originated in statistical mechanics as combinatorial skeletons of quantum group representations. We discuss how crystal bases have recently led to new discoveries in various areas in mathematics from combinatorics, representation theory, and geometry and back to physics!
The Zoom Meeting Room opens at 10:45am. The meeting is passcode protected. The passcode is the pseudo-TeX-like form of the standard symplectic form of the oriented xy-plane, using ^ in place of wedge. Thus it consists of 7 characters starting from $.
