Knot complements, series invariants and categorification

Inspired by a prediction for a categorification of a certain numerical invariant of 3-manifolds, a series invariant for complements of knots was introduced. In this talk, I'll introduce the invariant together with a series invariant of closed 3-manifolds and explore their properties, examples and connections to other 3-manifolds and knot invariants.
