Stability of minimal hypersurfaces in 4-manifolds

I will discuss recent joint work with Chao Li and Doug Stryker concerning stability of (non-compact) minimal hypersurfaces in 4-manifolds. I will discuss ambient curvature conditions that do and do not admit complete such hypersurfaces, as well as indicating some applications to comparison geometry.
