Compatibility of skein algebra and cluster algebra

I will introduce two algebras of curves on Riemann surfaces, one from low-dimensional topology and the other one from the theory of cluster algebra. It turns out that they are indeed compatible, and this compatibility has a few consequences both for the Teichmuller theory and the cluster theory. This talk is based on joint work with Helen Wong.
