I'll define a sort of convex transform associated to each gaussian sum f(x)=sum_i exp(-||x-x_i||^2/2h^2). I'll present a proof that it's superlevel sets are homotopy equivalent to those of the original function, but on the other hand are contained in the convex hull of the original point cloud, and also some applications to topology and data.
