Pseudo-Anosov and Anosov flows on three-manifolds have been extensively studied since the 1960s due to their rich dynamics, connections to the geometry and topology of their underlying manifolds, their contact structures, and the properties of their fundamental groups. In recent years, the introduction of veering triangulations has made it possible to prove results that were previously out of reach. In this talk, I will first outline the connection between pseudo-Anosov flows and veering triangulations, and then discuss some of my findings on pseudo-Anosov flows obtained through the use of veering triangulations.
