Enumeration in hyperplane arrangements

Description
I will start by giving an introduction to the combinatorics of
hyperplane arrangements, with an emphasis on enumerative aspects.
The main character will be the Tutte polynomial; I will define
it, and present a new method for computing it.
I will then show how to apply this method for some nice families
of arrangements, which are known to be very rich combinatorially.
This procedure gives new formulas for the generating functions
of several objects in classical enumerative combinatorics.
The talk will assume no prior knowledge of the subject.
