Bounding the Ground State Entropy in the Ising Model

Description
A few summers ago Ram Puri and I did some research under Bruno
Nachtergaele on statistical mechanics. We came up with a general method
for obtaining lower bounds for the ground state entropy in the Ising Model
with nearest neighbor interactions. I'll present this method and then
apply it to some specific lattices and obtain a numerical value for the
lower bound.
