On the Curve countings, modular forms and Seiberg-Witten theory

In this talk we will survey Taubes' 'SW=GR' and the nodal curve counting on algebraic surfaces. We will discuss the modularity results on the curve counting and its relation with string theory and family Seiberg-Witten theory as well.
