In the early 1990's Arnold introduced three basic invariants of Plane Curves. In this talk I will give a brief overview of plane curves and how Arnold's invariants are defined. The main goal is to discuss alternate methods of computing the invariants. The example that I will discuss will be Aicardi's work with tree-like plane curves.
