Description
In this talk I will discuss the isoperimetric inequalities
on the sphere and in Gauss space. I will show how the inequality in
Gauss space can be derived from that on the sphere. I will then
discuss various consequences of these inequalities in concentration of
measure. I will show that our intuition in lower dimensions fails us
in higher dimensions, and prove Levy's Lemma which says that "nice"
functions on the sphere are "almost constant almost everywhere."
