Description
Matroid Theory serves as a means of generalizing the notion of
independence found throughout mathematics. We provide an introduction to
Matroid Theory, and show how theorems in this general framework
simultaneously establish results in Linear Algebra, Combinatorial
Optimization and Graph Theory.
