I would like to discuss various approaches to the
construction of non-perturbative string theory.
The knowledge of string theory is not required.
I will start with with the explanation of ideas
of my paper:
Space and time from translation symmetry
Albert Schwarz
We show that the notions of space and time in axiomatic quantum field
theory arise from translation symmetry. We discuss a possibility of
using this construction in string theory.
