Finding Digit Sets for Multidimensional Radix Representations
Algebra & Discrete MathematicsSpeaker: | Eva Curry, Acadia University |

Finding digit sets for multidimensional radix representations is a seemingly simple but (I think!) interesting application of the problem of finding lattice points in a polytope. In this talk, I will introduce multidimensional radix representations and give a quick overview of the types of questions about this construction that I and my fellow researchers in this area are interested in. I will then discuss a computational approach to finding digit sets that relies on the Sage classes LatticePolytope and Polygon, and some questions that I have relating to the computational efficiency of different approaches.
This is an extra talk in the Algebra & Discrete Math seminar series. Note the special time and day.
