Description
A special case of the "Remodeling Conjecture"
in Gromov-Witten theory is a particular counting
problem of Hurwitz covers. Amazingly, the essence of
the conjecture is actually the prediction that if you know how to count trees, then you can solve the
problem of counting Hurwitz covers. I will explain
this process, which is the "quantization" procedure.
