As a preparation for his talk on the extension complexity of the matching polytope, Dr. Rothvoss will give a 90-minutes guest lecture on extended formulations in combinatorial optimization, including additional details of the proof of his celebrated result regarding the matching polytope. This guest lecture is part of the Math 280 class "Topics in Modern Convex and Mixed-Integer Optimization", but everyone is welcome to attend.
