Modeling Binding of Antiarrhythmic Drugs and Their Affect on Cardiac Rhythms
Student-Run Research SeminarSpeaker: | Steffen Docken, UC Davis |

Start time: | Fri, May 29 2015, 12:10PM |
Cardiac electrophysiology can be modeled using systems of ODEs and these models can be expanded to incorporate the effect of anti-arrhythmic drugs. As of right now, these drug models are very complicated and computationally expensive. I will discuss how I plan to simplify these models and subsequently analyze the models to identify what properties cause anti-arrhythmic drugs to be safe or not. My analysis will incorporate both numerical techniques and bifurcation analysis
