Suppose you have a network of resistors with a few distinguished ports, and want to find the effective resistance between pairs of ports. Can you simplify the network with fewer resistors? This is a very practical problem for electrical engineers. We contrast this problem with the related problem of networks of springs.
This lecture is specifically intended for undergraduate students.
