This week's MADDD seminar features a speaker from industry. Dr. Mac Strelioff from Pinterest's Growth Product Analytics & Data Science team will visit us via Zoom. At Pinterest, he has partnered with teams that work on messaging, content sharing, content creation, international user growth, and building a more inclusive product. Dr. Strelioff will speak about his path from UC Davis to Pinterest, the structure of his team, the different roles that work together to improve user growth, the variety of data science projects on the growth team, and one project in depth.
Bio: Dr. Strelioff received a B.S. in Psychology with Emphasis in Mathematics from UC Davis (2014), and an M.S. in Statistics (2018) and Ph.D. in Cognitive Science (2019) from UC Irvine. Since 2019, Dr. Strelioff has been working at Pinterest in the Growth Product Analytics & Data Science team, located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
