Breaking into an industry career can be tough, especially if you don’t know what kind of careers are available or how to effectively market yourself for the position you want. In this talk, I will take you through my research, from PhD student to Postdoc, and then finally to a position as a Computational Biologist. From modelling cancer cell dynamics to cryopreservation processes, changing from a theoretical environment to a biology wet lab, I’ll discuss the different research within each position and how I harnessed my knowledge and skills from one stage to the next.
