Introducing Legendrian Knots and Racks

We will define Legendrian knots, explain how they are classified, and discuss how to depict them using the front projection. Using this front projection, we will show how to give Legendrian knots a rack (and quandle) structure. Lastly, we will show Legendian racks give rise to a counting and State-Sum invariant similar to those for smooth knots and quandles.
