Text: I will use the free online textbook by Lankham, Nachtergaele and Schilling. If you intend to print it please do try to use one of the more environmentally friendly versions 2-in-1 version or even better 4-in-1 version .

Description and Goals: One famous statement is that ``Mathematics is the queen of science''. Well, one can argue that linear algebra is the heart of mathematics!! Thus, this is very important and beautiful material. The main topic is the study of linear transformations and the solutions of systems of linear equations. Beautiful geometry and the introduction to abstraction is part of this course.

Course outline and Grading Policy: I will follow the schedule of topics presented by the department's official syllabus , although I do not promise to be overly faithful!
