DAVIS -- Junior Kevin Nosek came off the bench to score a career-high 12 points, all on three-pointers, as the No. 4 UC Davis (3-1) men's basketball team beat Holy Names College (1-5), an NAIA school from Oakland. Nosek, a 1995 graduate of Davis High School, was one of four Aggies to score in double figure. Senior guard Dante Ross led the way with 17 points, Nosek and junior Jason Cox each had 12, and senior wing J. C. Timmons added 11. Nosek made 4 of 5 three-point attempts in the game, while adding 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal in just 16 minutes of action. "I'm very proud of Kevin," said Aggie Head Coach Brian Fogel. "He gave us a tremendous lift off the bench." UC Davis led just 50-44 with 12:11 to go in the game, but Nosek hit a trio of three-pointers over the next 3:16 to help stake the Aggies to a 61-46 lead with 8:56 remaining. It was the 23rd straight win at Hamilton Court for UC Davis.
