We will be doing homework online with MyMathLab. This has many advantages as you will see. It normally costs $40, but you will all be getting it for FREE. MyMathLab is an interactive website where you can:

What do I need to get started?
You will need the following:
  1. A valid email address.
  2. A student access code. This is inside your MyMathLab red software packet. If you did not recieve one, you need to go to the Davis bookstore to get it.
  3. The Course ID: strohmer93435

What steps do I take next? (Please read this even if you already have your MyMathLab account.)
Follow the steps below. Be careful in entering your name on Step 4.

  1. Go to http://www.coursecompass.com and click on Register if you are a first time user. If you already have your own account from your previous courses, click on Log In.
  2. If you are a first time user, enter your six-word student access code (We give you this. It is in your MyMathLab red software packet), school zip code (95616) and country.
  3. Enter the Course ID:   strohmer93435
  4. If you are a first time user, you are now requested to fill in your information. Please do the following:
  5. If you already have your MyMathLab account, please double check whether your First Name and Last Name boxes were filled as described above. To check this, do the following:
  6. Create your unique Login Name and Password.  I recommend that you use your email address as your login name.
  7. Return to www.coursecompass.com and log in. At the Welcome page, click on the course you are taking (21A_strohmer).
  8. The first time you enter the site from your computer and any time you use a new computer, click on the software Installation Wizard on the Announcements page or on the navigation buttons on the bottom left side of the screen. This wizard will walk you through the installation of the software you will need to use the MyMathLab resources.
    Note: the software may already be installed in the university computer labs. Check with the lab administrator if you wish to use these computers.
