SOCIAL PROGRAM
The social program will consist of a conference dinner in Old Sacramento. This is a very historic part of town and visitors may like to explore more of this part. Some useful information for tourists can be found here. Here are the details of the dinner:- Venue: Firehouse Steakhouse. 1112 Second Street, Sacramento, CA.
- Date: Wednesday, July 18, 2012. 6-9 p.m.
- Cost: The dinner will cost USD 50.00 per person, payable by cash only, during the first day of the conference (July 16th). Drinks are not included in this price. There will be an open bar, where you can purchase drinks.
- Guest tickets can be purchased for the same price.
- The Menu will consist of 3 courses : starter salad, main course, dessert. There will be a choice of Fish, Chicken or Vegetarian dish for the main course. Please let us know which option you would like on the registration form.
- Transportation will be arranged from the UC Davis campus to the dinner venue. Two buses will leave the UC Davis campus from the conference venue at 6 pm. They will return to the conference venue at the conclusion of the event (around 9pm).
Here is a more detailed program for the dinner :
- Buses leave the Mondavi center at 6:00pm.
- The buses will make a stop at the Best Western University Lodge at 6:10pm to pick up people from downtown. The buses will wait there for 5 minutes.
- The official dinner starts at 7:00pm at the restaurant, i.e. the first course is served at 7pm. The restaurant will expect the participants at 6:30 and there will be Hors D'Oeuvres from 6:30 - 7pm. Drinks can be purchased at this time from the open bar.
- The buses will leave the restaurant to come back to Davis at 9pm.
